Footprints Beachside Recovery Center is a substance abuse rehabilitation center and also a sober living community in Treasure Island, Florida. They are a new business so I'm sure the content will continue to grow over the next few months. The site design was only our first step. Now I am managing a SEM campaign for them to get their name out there so they can compete with the other Florida based rehab centers.

This was a really fun project to work on. With the help of Dr. Al Ducharme, I designed this little gadget for my final project at UCF. The main components were a ADNS-3080 optical sensor from a standard computer mouse, a lens with the correct focal distance, and a PIC 18F252. I really wanted to do something involving my late electric skateboard, because at the time we had a posse that would meet up on thursdays to ride the boards through the streets of Orlando til the wee hours of the night. Central Florida has a lot of lakes. I noticed a sign much like this on the drainage inlet down the street from my house, but after examining the shoreline of the lake I live on, I realized that people must not be able to see these little signs on the ground. So... Look at it!! Don't litter in the lakes!!

Talk about inspiration, this man is a musician, poet, painter, sketcher, producer, hype man, business owner, and a nice guy all rolled into one. Every time I leave his shop or get off the phone with him I realize how much more I can accomplish on a day to day basis. He not only is focused on his own career, but also leads the B-Side Artist Crew as well as the Solillaquists of Sound, and also organizes a weekly event for others to show off their art and products.

Rland is a project I worked on from February 07 til the premiere night on August 31st. Photographer, Bryan Soderlind had been compiling 16mm film footage on his 52 Bell+Howell Filmo for the past couple years and asked me to help him put it all together. I worked on several aspects of the project including the video editing, motion graphics, color correction, audio editing, narration recording, dvd authoring, website design and implementation, web marketing which including creating 13 unique trailers that were spread across the webernet, DVD case and disk design, promotional flyers and posters for the two release parties (one in Orlando and one in Jacksonville) and probably a few other things I cant remember.

Local come up Kanili Sosa (aka KSos) is starting to get his music out into the hands of the Orlando youth by way of his newest mixtape, KSos Presents the Presport. Ted.com is one of the greatest sources of "new intelligence". You can watch talks about every aspect of life from the smartest people in their perspective fields. I think TED talks should be shown in schools. I know most talks would be over the heads of the majority of american kids, but it would be worth it for the few that will be inspired.

I met Brandon McLean back in August of 2007 when he displayed a collection of his art in the lobby during the premiere of Rland. He is a super nice guy and his stuff is the definition of vintage artwork. Check out his newly revamped website at Elus1v.com
